The Crushing Low hails from Alston, MA and was originally the brainchild of Ed Healy (Vocals and Guitars) and Scott Lerner (Guitars) who came from different sides of the same coin. The four man assault is rounded out by Alex Lynch (Bass) and Scott Maher (Drums) and takes strong nods from both sides of the Atlantic in it's influences. The band self-describes itself as anthemic indie rock in both ideology and action.
The Crushing Low put the song first and foremost; while letting the guitars speak loudly for themselves. There is a feeling of excitement almost an electricity in the air and feelings come from deep within just breaking through to the surface. These elements ring true especially in the band's live performances.
In the coming months of 2008 look for the band to begin recording their debut disc and play a myriad of live dates in your area.
